After some disappointing results in overseas matches in Spain and England, the Wizards hosted its first international friendly on Sunday, March 2, against the members and crew of James Blunt's band, who is performing in Asheville on Monday night.

The game started slowly with both sides feeling each other out.  The 7v7 game opened up after a while, with both sides having many scoring chances.  A couple of the visiting club showed some quality and a real understanding of the game.  The Wizards benefitted from some subs and ran the game over in the latter stages.

A visit to Cocula for some post-game refreshment followed and new friends were made. 

Good luck to the band and maybe we'll get a chance to share the pitch again on another tour.
